Robotic Solvers

Teaching machines to reason through the puzzles I love.

Welcome to the self-destructive side of my website, where I destroy the things I love.

I have been solving puzzles my entire life. When I wrote my letter of intent for the METU Physics Department, I called myself an Enigmatologist. That was not a joke. Puzzles are how I think, how I relax, how I start my mornings. For the last seven years, every single morning, I solve a daily puzzle from PuzzleTeam. Sometimes Binairo. Sometimes Pipes. Whatever is on the menu.

The puzzles rotate over time, but the core stays the same. And that is the problem. I have solved the same types so many times that I do not really think anymore. My muscle memory solves them. My hands move before my brain catches up. They are familiar. They are comfortable. They are my morning coffee.

But I cannot just quit. They are too familiar, too much a part of my routine. So instead, I am doing something worse: I am writing code that goes to the PuzzleTeam website and solves them for me. Robotic solvers that fetch the daily puzzle, crack it, and submit the answer. If my hands are going to solve puzzles on autopilot, I might as well make that literal. This way, the puzzles still get solved. And I have to learn something new to make it happen. Everybody wins. Except my comfort zone.
